I built my PC over 2 years ago and keep upgrading my GPU as new ones come out but I'm thinking it's time to get a new MB/CPU.

CPU: i7 920@3.3oc w/V8 cooling
MB: Asus P6T
Ram: Kingston HyperX 1800 3x2gb
GPU: EVGA GTX580
PSU: Thermaltake TR2 RX-850
Case: Cooler Master Cosmos S
Display: Samsung SA550

I only play TOR and soon Guild Wars 2 so do I even need an updrade? If not how long should or can I wait? I would like to get some coin from selling the old parts so the longer I wait the less they will be worth.

thank you for your time.

You are probably good for at least another year or so. Maybe add a 128GB SSD (Crucial M4 is a great one). You won't really benefit much from upgrading when gaming at 1920x1080.

Yeah I'd say either do this or add a second 580 for SLI and you should be good for another year - two.

Well, I plan on playing Guild Wars 2 with a GTX 560 Ti OC and a i5-2500k (still don't know if and how high I'm gonna OC). It's not a very demanding game. I can't guarantee anything but I'd say it'll run pretty smoothly. Besides, the game isn't gonna release for some time, and if you buy the digital deluxe copy for 20 bucks extra, you'll get free access to all beta events so you could test your rig out.

Thank you for all the input. I think I will just cost on this CPU/MB for a year and get me a 2011 in December...I should be able to afford it by then.
