Graphics card died, fan spinning at max

Hello,

I'm just trying to diagnose what happened to my graphics card.

I was using my computer normally when all of a sudden the monitor blacks out and the fan (I've confirmed it's the graphics card's fan) on my graphics card starts spinning up, faster and louder than I've ever heard it.

Subsequent attempts to power on the computer play out the same way, the monitor remains black, without detecting even a signal, and the fan on the graphics card spins up to what I presume is its maximum setting. There is a series of beeps that are played as well.

Powering on the computer with the stricken graphics card, apart from the fact that the monitor shows nothing, I can tell from the sounds that I'm able to boot into Windows just fine.

I believe the problem lies with the graphics card as I have temporarily swapped it out for an older one, which currently works completely fine.

Cheers.
