I need to replace the cd/dvd drive in my E Machine w3644 and I don't know if it already has an IDE or SATA. Does anyone know?

if the drive is still working being seen in the bios you have to write the model number that shows up and google the info.
or run some software like this for the drive info.

looking online and the service parts for your pc. your pc mb has two sata ports and one ide port. the hard drive is a sata drive and the cd-rom is and ide device.
