Adding a Raid controller to an existing computer

I'm thinking about adding a second hd to my computer and connect the 2 hds in a Raid 0 array via a PCI Raid controller card so the primary IDE controller will be without a hd. Can I boot up my computer from this new arrangement? If not, are there ways around it so I can?

What OS are you using? NT/2000 will, during install, give opportunity to install 3rd party raid/SCSI devices. Not sure about 98.

Just make sure your raid card is bootable and that you get a file called txtsetup.oem for it, if you get those drivers, sure you can boot and install on a controller. Don't forget that you are doing a full re-install using raid0 - all data will be lost.
