Hi am trying to upgrade my graphics card but am not sure which one i should get. Here are my computer specs
Dell Inspirion 545 (not the slim version)
Intel Pentium dual core
300w power supply
2.1 graphics card support
6GB ram
am not a extreme gaming all i want to do is able to play some on the new NFS racing games that came out, in addition to playing TDU( test drive unlimted) and GTA IV.
My budget is 50-70 and i would like to buy the card at a store since i am just a student i don't have a credit card.. I was thinking about this card

that 520 is not for games, it is only for very old games.

HD6670 is a good choice and is a good match for pentium duel core
it requries only 75 watt, so a total of 180w at 12v rail is minimum (means minimum 15a rating at 12v rail combined)

try this link:

gta 4 is apoorly coded resource hog that loves fast cpu and ram.
imo your cpu is underpowered (very likely to bottleneck) and psu is inadequate.
the dell pc might not let you oc your cpu at all.
if you can upgrade your psu to a good quality, 450w one, perhaps a 6670 will be suitable for running games at 1366x768. if you must get an nvidia card... you sol cause nvidia doesn't have good gfx card at entry level. afaik, gt 520 is a rebadged (rebranded?) gt 220. still, you might try geforce gt240 with 1 gb gdddr5 vram.
here's a bigger list with entry level gfx cards from tom's:

Saw this on a Best buy web page. It's several levels above a GT520
$75.34
MSI - R5670-MD1GD3 Radeon HD 5670 Graphic Card - 775 MHz Core - 1 GB DDR3 SDRAM - PCI Express 2.1 x16
Would that be an improvement? Of course your local BB may not have it in stock.
Print this chart and take it with you when you go shopping. Normally, 3 steps above your current card is a significant improvement.

+1

A PSU which has only 20A on the +12V rail should run it well.

Newegg has GDDR5 version for $89.99 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161397

But for the EVGA one my computer only has 300w would it make a difference if the card requires 350w

Don't worry, AMD is just wanting people to be really safe. But generally, any 300W+ PSU (even dells) with 20A on the combined +12V rail will work. By mean 'really safe' is it is not a problem with power hungry processors and let's say, 5 hard drives. I would like you to but 6670.
