My current cell phone is a Samsung R225 with T-mobile as the service
provider. It is my understanding that T-mobile uses 1900 MHz for
communications.

Both of our vehicles will not permit a fixed roof mount, so to keep
the antenna up high I am looking at glass mount antennas that can be
mounted on the windshield. This will also allow the cable to the
antenna to be short.

The problem is cable loss at 1900 MHz. I had assumed that the antenna
manufacturers would use a decent low loss cable, but all I see is
RG-58 or worse. They also seem to toss in about 15' of cable for your
convenience (and more signal loss). I only need about 6 feet of cable,
but the cables provided with all the antennas seem to be permanently
installed to the interface box on the inside of the glass, making
replacement problematic.

I am looking for a manufacturer of high grade thru-the-glass cell
antennas that use low loss cable. Any ideas?

Thanks, Tracy
