Why that case? There's way better cases for that price. The Zalman Z9 got deactivated on Newegg so I can't include that in the build.

That can't really be done on a $1K budget without sacrificing your GPU (which I do not recommend) - you can always add one later - I recommend the Crucial M4 myself.

Preferred Website(s) for Parts: Tigerdirect or Microcenter as both of these are near me(no shipping).

Tiger Direct is fine but you'd be very wise to avoid their garbage proprietary brands Ultra and Systemax.

Here's what I typically recommend for $1K:

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912 - $59.99 ($10.00 MIR)
PSU: Corsair TX650 v2 - $89.99 ($15.00 MIR)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68XP-UD3H - $159.99
CPU: 3.30GHz Intel Core i5-2500K - $229.99
Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo - $39.99
RAM: 8GB Crucial Ballistix Sport 1600MHz 1.5V - $44.99
SSD: 64GB Crucial M4 - $99.99
HD: Seagate Barracuda ST 1TB 7200 RPM - $109.99
Optical: Lite On DVD Burner - $17.99
Video Card: Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 GHz Edition - ~$250 approximate

Total: $1,087.91 - $25.00 = $1,062.91

Since a previous poster suggested the Cooler Master case over the Zalman how is this?

Case: Cooler Master HAF 912-57.99
Mobo: ASUS P8Z68-V/GEN3-179.99
CPU: Intel I5 2500k-179.99
CPU Fan: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO-36.99
RAM: Ballistix Sport Series 8GB DDR3-1600-39.99
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast Series TX750M-139.99
Hard Drive: Crusial M4 128GB SSD-169.99
Graphics: XFX Radeon HD 6770-103.99

This adds up to 908.92, add the operating system and any misc. things that will come up and it should fall about 1100 before taxes.

The reason for the XFX 6770 is because I have another one that I will Crossfire with it.

Also which version of Windows 7 should I get? And is the 750watt PSU enough?
