Approximate Purchase Date: now but if something is worth it I can wait 2-3 months MAX
Budget Range: 1000$ After Rebates
System Usage from Most to Least Important: gaming (mostly mmo's like SWTOR, GW2, Minecraft lol), surfing internet.
Parts Not Required: keyboard, mouse, monitor, speakers
Preferred Website(s) for Parts:
Country: Canada
Parts Preferences: none
Overclocking: Maybe
SLI or Crossfire: Yes in the future
Monitor Resolution: 1440x900

Additional Comments: I mostly play mmorpg's not FPS and I would like to add a better resolution monitor sometimee this year to run one screen for gaming and the other for chat/browsing. I watched a lot of videos on how to build your first rig and I think this girl is ready! But I'm unsure if my choices of parts respect my computer usage, so please some advice!

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500k Quad Core 3.30GHz

MoBo: GIGABYTE GA-Z68X-UD3H-B3 Intel Z68 Motherboard

Memory: Corsair Vengeance 2X 4GB DDR3 1600MHz

Graphic card: Radeon HD 6770

PSU: ??? absolutly no idea on how much I would need, I would like to add a second graphic card eventually

Hard drive: WD Caviar Green WD10EARX 3.5" Hard Drive - 1TB, SATA 6 Gb/s, 64MB, 3.5"

Computer case:
Corsair Carbide Series 500R Mid Tower Gaming Case
or maybe
Cooler Master Storm Scout ATX Mid-Tower

Am I missing something besides the OS (Window 7 64 home)? Will I need thermal paste? Is there a better choice for the case? Thank you for helping!

edited for links that work and purchase date

Approximate Purchase Date: from now to the next 2-3 months

Now to the next 2-3 months?

Come back when your ready to place your order, prices and component suggestions will be completely different then.

I went with a window of 2-3 months just in case someone tells me I absolutly need to wait for something really worth the price and whatnot? But I would prefer to buy it in the next week of course! :D

The video card is pretty weak, why not go with this board and use the savings to upgrade your video card.

Also you don't want a 5900rpm drive, you want a 7200 rpm hd. $60 after rebate and promo code

No you don't need thermal paste, the stock fan comes with it pre-applied. When you decide to get a new cooler and overclock the cpu, the new cooler will also come with thermal paste.
