yes i have a asrock z68m/usb 3 motherboard i went into the bios and told it to boot to the pcie express slot first and not the onboard video card and still nothing. This is the mobo i have http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168... i got lucky and didnt get a faulty one.

That was my next ask, if you could get into bios and set the pcie as primary gfx,
ok, do you have another system to test the card in? make sure the cards fine and that leaves Mobo as probable suspect,

No i do not have another motherboard to test it in so that means it must be the motherboard then? If so that is fine i already have a refund RMA from before when i couldn't get it working and was planning to swap it out for another MOBO presumably this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E168.... But if that is the case that sucks seeing as i won't be able to use my nice parts for a good 2 weeks.

If you cannot test the card in another mobo (mates pc?) then you can assume its the mobo and return it, but may find the replacement suffers the same issue,
its a bind not having spares :(

I'm no Intel buff, but I believe the older chipset (H61) isn't as good as the z68 for overclocking, but hopefully someone who knows intel better can clear that up,
I wouldn't go for a mini-Atx though, not unless you need a tiny mobo :)

it would work yes, I was just expressing that i wouldn't buy a M-Atx unless it was for a HTPc for example, for a normal-sized desktop, its fullsize Atx in my book :)
Sorry for confusing you
