Is Intel HD 4000 Graphics faster than a Nvidia GT 430?

Is Intel HD 4000 Graphics faster than a Nvidia GT 430? I ask this because until I get my GTX 670 or 680 I have to use the built in graphics on my core i5 3570k or my old GT 430

The discerte GPU should perfrom better then the Intels IGP, while Intel integrated graphics have gotten significantly better then in the past you would still be better off most of the time with a GPU that has dedicated resources to itself.

Granted AMD's APU's would probably be a different story as their on die GPU's tend to be inmensly better then Intels and can even outperfrom a few lower end descrite cards.

The 430 wud be slighlty faster.....not worth buying a separate video card if ur getting the HD4000, but then that's just my opinion

Good to know, I will most likely just use the integrated graphics on the i5 until I buy my GTX670 or 680

I plan on overclocking the CPU to 4.5Ghz, would that increase the speed of the integrated GPU to be faster than the GT 430 or do I have to overclock it separately?
