CPU installing problem.

Hey, guys!

I just got my components and I'm having my first problem already. When I place my CPU where it's supposed to go and try to lower the arm that locks it, it seems that the arm won't go down without relatively high amount of strength. There is also some rustle going on when I try it, coming from the pins of the CPU, I suppose. With the plastic cover on that comes with the MOBO, it locks in easily but not with the CPU. Am I afraid of nothing here. Do I just need to apply some strength here.

Forgot to mention that I'm using AsRock z68 extreme3 gen3 MOBO and a i5-2500k processor.

Yeah, it seems like it's bad for the components, but you really do need to "muscle" it sometimes (gently, of course).

I just applied more strength little bit at the time and it just locked in. The MOBO sees the CPU so I don't know what sound was all about.
