this depends on the security setting of your router, Firstly you will have to have it set to WEP as opposed to WPA-PSK security, and it wil give you the security code to use once you set it up.

The DS/DSi are a pain to set up on wireless home networks, an alternative is buying the nintendo wifi stick (discontinued) or removing wireless security altogether from your router, although this leaves you wide open to people jumping on your network.

Depending on the brand of your wireless router, you will need to find out what IP Address it's at. (generally 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1 or some variant like that. the default address may be written on the bottom of your router)

Once you get into it you can view or change wireless settings fairly easily, from there it's a matter of getting your DSi connected to your wireless home network.
