Noctua nh d14 with trident

hey,
could any body tell me whether i could use Noctua-nh d14 with Trident x series?
noctua website says its not compatible with trident.
what if i remove heat spreaders, will it work with ??
does it have something to do with performance of the RAM ??

Nope it has nothing to do with the speed, its more like the heatsink of the trident x is too long thus it wont fit under the d14 cpu cooler :) .

Nope i dont think you can, and with rams you dont really need cooling, even after ocing but just as a word of advice if you do decide or are going to oc, just keep in you do something wrong be prepared to replace things because you can burn almost everything and need to buy new ones, no company will rma it for you.

yep shouldn't worry about the ram, the heat sinks on them tends to be a sufficient passive cooling.
