Unsure about some small parts

I'm unsure about some of the items that came with my computer parts and where to put them.

This came with my motherboard (Asus P8z68-v). The manual says "these connectors are for the additional USB 3.0 ports... If the USB 3.0 front panel cable is available from your system chassis, with this USB 3.0 connector, you can have a front panel USB 3.0 solution."

Helpful, huh? I have no idea what that means.

This part came with my case (silverstone ft02). Nothing in the manual about this piece. The cable says USB 2.0.

This small doohikey came with my motherboard in the same bag as the Q connector. It says USB. Absolutely nothing in the manual.

No real problems with other parts, but these three things have me confused.

Any help identifying these pieces and figuring out where to put them would be greatly appreciated.

Like I said, nothing in the manuals about these parts besides what I've already listed.

The second cable I posted has 20 pins on the larger side and a 9 pin connector on the smaller side labeled USB. The cable itself is labeled USB 2.0.

(No I am not building this on my floor)

The first cable has a 20 pin connector that fits perfectly in line with the pins on the second cable and 2 USB slots at the extension end.

The third piece should be clearly visible on one side from the picture I posted earlier. Here's the other side.

From the little explanations given im just gonna assume that pic 1 attaches to pic 2 and you can use that as a back usb port if you want to

Then pic 3 appears to be some sort of weird male/female converter plug for maybe a USB port it looks like. Never had to use one myself so not entirely sure what it is.

The back USB panel is for USB 3.0. As was clearly stated in the manual they are for USB3.0 and if your case has front panel USB3.0 you can plug that into the 3.0 header and have front panel USB3.0 instead of using the back bracket.

The second cable is to adapt the USB 3.0 ports on the front panel to a usb2.0 header so you can still use them if your motherboard doesn't have USB3.0 headers.

The 3rd "dohicky" is so you can connect front panel USB that has.individual pinouts, if your case had come with them like that.

Plug the front panel USB3.0 into the header on the motherboard and throw the 3 adapters in a spare parts box you don't need any of them
