How to identify power supply

So last month I bought a pc, something I had been saving up for some time before that, and figured I would upgrade it. Recently it has come to my attention that one piece of hardware had not been identified. The power supply. How should I go about figuring this out? Would I have to open my pc to know?

Yes, you have to open the PC and read the sticker on the power supply to identify it.
