Hey,
Just tried to install a 560GTX and it doesn't fit in my case. Anyone know of a card better than the 8800 that is the same shape? There is no room width-wise for anything bigger.

After some additional research I don’t see anything out there that fits the form factor of this card except for geforce 430’s or similar , including other 8800 GTX cards! The card is an EVGA unit but it must be an special OEM model as it doesn’t fit the normal 8800 form factor.

Unless someone has a great alternative I think I’m stuck with what I have.

Normal 8800 form factor ?
The 8800GTX is a full height, dual slot card ( unless water cooled )

Do you have a single slot card ?
I ask because I only see one dual slot GT430 at Newegg, still much shorter than an 8800GTX and would fit anywhere that an 8800GTX would.

Do you have a low profile card ? ( also called half height )
Many GT430's are of the low profile variety, is that the right " form factor " ?

That's the one (although mine says "Factory overclocked" on it.). Ticked me off when I pulled the card out. So now I'm stuck with running my machine for another year or two until I can afford a new one. I don't like to upgrade often so it's a $2-3k affair when I do.

Its hard to justify spending that much for essentially a game machine. Guess I can get a PS3 to hold me over.

Thanks guys.
