Please if you could help me on this:
I bought a 6950 for battlefield 3 :) . so after a while I also added another 5770 to the working 6950, it seems that both cards are working fine so I expected some increase in fps for the game however I see no noticeable fps increase/change it is as was just working with the 6950! also will it make a difference to use 2 crossfire cables?

Thanks

Amd's CrossfireX technology only works with GPUs of the same family--for example, a 6850 and a 6870 can crossfire, but not a 6850 and a 5850. The first two digits have to match, so your 6950 can crossfire with a 6950/6970/6990, but nothing else, while the 5770 can only crossfire with a 5750/5770/5790.

When you successfully crossfire cards, the Catalyst Control Center should notice the crossfired cards and install appropriate crossfire drivers--that's one way to make sure it's successfully Crossfired.

*Edit: Derp about 5790
