those are the settings i was playing 60 fps on my 460 b4 i upgraded but as u said he is using an amd dual core whereas i had it on a 2500k. if those settings run too slow id turn down mesh quality effects quality and AA post in that order to still have it looking shiny

ill put it this way i have 2 6870's in crossfire and i cant play that game on ultra at least not multi player .. the regular campain i can .. i can play on high settings with msaa off with no issues im currently running with 2 things in ultra but i turned off the ocular thing because it just really isnt that important to me actually i find it annoying but thats just me.. i havent tweaked it all the way but im also playing at 1080 by 1920 so.. 6870 is decent alone you can get away with high settings it seems like the drivers for this game are not tottally mature yet..

Hahaha dude, on lowest I get about 25 fps on a small map. On Metro standing still while looking at tiles I get about 55 fps. I am noticing that my CPU is a huge limit on my situation if you were using a GTX 460 and getting 60 fps. On highest I get 19-21 fps. The back to karkand maps are nearly unplayable as well as Caspian border. Lowest allows me to play onj every map with a little below okay fps. It's playable. I still haven't tried out your settings. Let me see real quick. I'll reply when I'm done.

Operation Firestorm
Average FPS 25. (Your Settings)

aaaannd it just crashed. Thanks AMD Athlon -_______-. I want my 2500k already.

Anyway, I think I might just have to stick with lowest until I get my new parts. Atleast I'll have a good fps and if it drops, it will go back up. Can you come up with some settings that put the least amount of stress on my cpu and more on my graphics card? Thanks.

try the low preset setting and if your farmes are over 60 then try upping the texture quality and terrain quality as these will make the game look better at lowest cpu stress

Texture Quality: high
Antialiasing Deferred: off
Ambient Occlusion: off
Terrain Quality: medium
Mesh Quality: low
Shadow Quality: low
Effects Quality: low
Motion Blur: off
Terrain Decoration: low
Antialiasing Post: 4x
Anisotropic Filter: 16x

esrever looks like they have a good solution for you... This game is cool in that it looks great at almost any setting. Definitely a CPU bottleneck with the crazy CPU load this game has. My only tweak would be to turn AF down to 8x or 4x though... that'll put a hefty load on there at 16 I'd figure.

Alright thanks guys! Yeah the settings esrever posted work fine except the anisotropic filter as JackMomma said. I put that to x8. The game still does not go past 30. My CPU has 2MB of Cache, is a 2.5 Ghz, and a dual core so yeah its a huge bottleneck. Fortunately I will be getting a i5 2500k as well as 2 GTX 460. :D
