ur budget?

AMD:
phenom II 560
phenom II 970 (a tad costlier than the 560)

Intel:
dual core E 5700
core 2 duo E 7500(costlier than the 5700)

depends on ur budget, whats ur budget?
for a tight budget you can go for the phenom II 560 or the E 5700 else choose from the other two...

Budget isn't really an issue with the graphics card...for the processor ill go with the 970. I just need something that will fit in my case, that's my only concern. I need it to be able to play all DX11 software/games lag free. Is there a better GPU you can suggest?

Sorry but your being thrown some really weird wrong advice here.

Firstly dual core and core 2 duos are VERY old they are not even made anymore. Same as Phenom II 560. 9800GT is an antiquated obsolete graphics card and only a total lunatic would buy 2 560ti's and SLi them as a hardcore rig when they could have bought 1 670 for less.

Also there is no such thing as DDR5 RAM so I think noshomax needs to go back to learning before advising.

Ok to answer your question you need to tell us the exact make and model of the motherboard. AM3 supports Phenom II's that can be bought now but not all boards will support all the CPU's.

As for graphics cards whats your budget? Can't answer that without a budget you can game at low resolutions with a £80 ($120) card or you can splash out £400 ($500) to game at massive resolutions.... you get the picture we need a budget.
