Help! losing my mind!

So I bought a gigabyte gtx 560 (non ti) and its specs are supposedly 4000mhz memory clock . WHY is mine showing as only 1000mhz!! please Ive been searching everywhere i would greatly appreciate a fast response.
My specs
Asus p5k-e
gtx 560
q9400 2.66ghz
kingston hyperx 4gb
600w cooler master extreme

    Then how am I meant to overclock it past 4000mhz if it only shows 1000mhz in afterburner? :/ sorry if its a silly question but please help
  3. You obviously don't know what you are talking about my friend. If the card games and runs properly don't worry.

    The proper clock (shown in MSI afterburner) is 1000Mhz
    The Clock shown at the specification is 2000Mhz, because it's a DDR
    But because this is GDDR5 They say the 'effective clock' is 4000Mhz

    Hope this clears down the confusion :).

    Memory clock = 1000

    GDDR5 bandwidth = 4x

    Total memory bandwidth = 4000 (4 x 1000)

    If you OC to 1200, memory bandwidth would be 4 x 1200 = 4800
