But i noticed the motherboard said "2 x 1.5V DDR3 DIMM sockets supporting up to 16 GB of system memory
* Due to Windows 32-bit operating system limitation, when more than 4 GB of physical memory is installed, the actual memory size displayed will be less than 4 GB."

Does this mean i will need to get the 32-bit Win7? :S
Its my first build btw.

Win 32 bit don't recognize more than 4GB RAM. What you choosed is right ( Win 7 64 bit).

So the motherboard supports win7 64 bit, was what i was confused about

The motherboard support Win 7 64 bit. And the OS will recognize all 8GB RAM.
