Hi, if anyone can answer me this I will be much obliged. I have currently an ATI radeon HD 3400 (I bought it on the cheap for £20 ((30.66 US dollar)) after my geforce 9500 gave up the ghost in my recording studio) so i've now bought a new mac setup for it and have decided to keep my computer for home mixing and mastering and gaming (namely COD MW 1 , 2 and 3 as well as assassins creed, skyrim and now Battlefield 3) ... so to go back on topic, I am now looking to get a new graphics card but after buying the mac I don't have much left over cash (well maybe £100 ((153.28 US dollar) or so) to buy a graphics card that will run BF3, the card runs skyrim - medium, assassins creed revelations - medium and MW3 on High. What I want to know is .... Will the radeon hd 6770 run BF3 and the other games listed above and can anyone tell me if my computer and PSU will run it, also what sort of prices would i be looking at, i've seen some for around £110 (168.61 US dollar) and some for around £57 (87.37 US dollar) the £57 one was 1GB video ram and the £110 one was 2GB (here's a link to some i've seen

Computer Specs :-

Intel Core 2 quad CPU at 2.40 (not over-clocked as of yet)
ATI radeon HD 3400

Video RAM 1.6 GB
Pixel Shader version 4.1
Vertex Shader version 4.1
4.5GB DDR ram
windows 7 ultimate 32 bit (obviously I can't use all of my ram until i buy a 64 bit OS)
Sound Card - SoundMAX Integrated Digital HD Audio

my PSU is a HX520 watt Modular power supply

If someone can get back to me with a good answer I will forever be in your debt ;)  I have seen youtube videos of people playing BF3 on a 6770 but some appear to either be fake or are using a better graphics card than they are admitting. PLEASE ANSWER THIS ASAP!! :D  cheers peeps

Your PSU will be fine with the HD6770 and it will run BF3 just fine. Good luck!

Get yourself one of these. I've got one and I can play Battlefield 3 at high setting with 50-60fps easily. With a small overclock I can get 40-50 fps in ultra. Its a seriously good card for its price.

That is a nice GPU. I put one in my nephew's rig and he is VERY happy with it.

You won't need a card with more than 1gb of vram. If you use a 1080p monitor spend the extra on the 6850. Under 1080p, the 6770 is great at its price point.

And if that's the q8200 CPU don't expect much of an overclock.

thanks everyone for your answers, and thanks for the answers being honest for a change! :D  a few things though, it seems my net profit for my recording studio isn't due until march, so i have about £80 or so to play with, so it seems the 6770 is the best option right now, but am going to upgrade to the 6850 after my tax year runs out :)  and last point, i have no idea how to check my monitors pixel rate (if that's the right wording) ... sooo erm ... how do i do that?
cheers peeps

That is the recommended PSU rating. You have a decent PSU so you will be fine. The HD6770 is actually pretty efficient. You have a PSU rated for 520w. No worries, my friend.

The Radeon HD 6850 is a very low power consumption but yet still high performance GPU it only uses up 127Watts under max load.
