Could this system play HD films? could i add a screen adapter?

i just got this system:
Intel Core i3 2120 3.0GHz (with Intel HD Graphics 2000... the gpu is inside the cpu i guess)
Kingston 4GB DDR3 1333MHz
Motherboard: Chipset Intel H61 B3
hdd: Seagate 500GB 7200RPM 16MB
LG SATA DVDRW
300W psu Active PFC

A. will it run 720p videos? 1080p?
B. i have an old inno3d 7300 LE-64BIT nvidia screen adapter - could i connect it? (i mean ... i only have 300w psu)

the dealer said that he think i couldn't & i need a better (expansive) build
btw HD playing will heat the cpu & make it work over time on this build?

how could i check thaat its ok regarding the psu?
