More about : dsl router ping sites

You mean a proper ping command rather than just a connection being refused right? Not all websites will accept ping requests because they take away from serving actual content.

What websites are you having difficulty with?

A few questions:

1) Do you have other computers using the modem? If so do they have the same issue?
2) Who is your ISP exactly?
3) Assume you've rebooted the router right? By turning it off and on again?

well,
1: yes, there are more people using the same router and modem.
2: it's Bahador ( www.bahador.net
3: well, i didn't , but ISP did reset the router, and about turning it off and on, yes i did many times, when needed or i dunno , when something was wrong!

Best solution

Did the ISP say specifically why you needed a new router? Did they say it was incompatible or anything?

What you could maybe try:

1) Backup the configuration. You should be able to access the modem's web interface and there is usually a backup option which will spit out a file.

2) Factory reset the modem. It's instruction manual will give you the details how. Be sure you have all the information you need!

3) Reconfigure the router setting the values you need for it to connect.

Please bear in mind that if you can't set it up yourself again you are going to have no internet connection at all. So give careful consideration if you want to do the factory reset.
