I Killed Add/Remove Windows Components

Somehow I managed to break "Add/Remove Windows Components" under WinXP
Pro SP2.

When I click on the "Add/Remove Windows Components" icon in the "Add or
Remove Programs" window under the control panel, a Windows Components
Wizard starts, and then scans the system.

Instead of the Windows Component Window then opening, the desktop video
flashes a couple of times and does nothing else? Any ideas (service not
running, policy, ...)?
