With my tax return i'm wanting to build a new pc. My old one died and instead of fixing it i figure why not just upgrade while im at it? Current have AMD but looking to go with one of the i7's. Been hearing alot about them. old pc is amd spider rig, 4 gb ram, quad core black edition
As for the new PC i'm looking to spend about $1000 Willing to go up to $1500 or so if the extra money will make it worth it. If i feel really frisky i might spend more well see
And as for the actual components i'm looking for suggestions on any and all of it
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Mobo - friends are recommending asus but i have read nothing but horrible reviews, from what ive seen so perhaps gigabyte?
Memory - Probably going with Gskill or Corsair here, want at the minimum 8GB found this on new egg any thoughts?
CPU - Def want an i7, just not sure which to get exactly, not sure if spending the extra money here is really worth it
Graphics card - Want something that will let he run any and everything with no lag, weather its one expensive card or possibly two, again not exactly sure what im looking for here
Hard drive I might use the HD from my old pc too, but would like suggestions on a fast gaming hd...and anyone with any experience with ssd? are they worth it. i will probably be running two hard drives, one for games and one for all my other crap
Case - Power supply not too worried about the case and power supply for now unless you have recommendations on them, and how much power do i need? like if later i decide to upgrade how many watts should i need?
I have some knowledge of pc's, ive built a few, but im not really advanced enough to know which specific parts i should get, and of course its been a couple years since i last upgraded so please feel free to suggest entire builds, specific parts, or any accessories or advice you like! any advice would be great thank you!
