All,

I have a Dell XPS 420 Desktop, pretty much all stock with the Core 2 Quad 6600, 8GB RAM and a 1tb drive.
Currently running the stock 375w (or was it 325w) PSU, and looking around it seems like this one has a standard ATX 24pin Plug.

Can anyone confirm? I'm looking to upgrade to a 7770 OC. I need to find a PSU with the same dimensions, as drilling / modding the case is out of the question.

Thanks!

Your stock Dell whether 325 or 375watts should run that HD7770 fine. Dell has a tendency to underrate those PSU's.

Actually, I called PC Power & Cooling, they had like 8 of the other Silencer 470 Dell PSUs in their Refurb bin, I think I ended up paying like $70 and it showed up yesterday. That should be more than enough now.

Don't mean to rain on your parade but that wasn't much of an upgrade
Dell's 375w is rated for 30 amps combined on the 12v, the Silencer 26a on the single 12v rail
For $70 you could have gotten a much better, new power supply, that you really didn't need
