afte getting the game installed.. finally!

I am getting sound problems now

whenever i fire a machine gun the sound just gets stuck in a loop and
doesn't stop

some sounds dont appear to be working at all

is this a bad sound.rfa file? if i was to obtain a copy of this file and
copy it to the directory it is in would it solve the problem?

I have installed the 1.6.19 patch never played the game until i had that
installed, It did error out once when instaling that... I am currently re
downloading it and am going to try and re install it to see if it makes a
difference, I also have the small 1.6b patch i will ty that afterwards.

does anyone have any other suggestions as to what may be causing this and
how to solve it?

In the second sound setup screen 2/2 if you have hardware acceleration
enabled then disable it. If it is disabled then enable it.

I had the exact same prob.
Not sure what OS you have but I'm running XP w/ Soundblaster Live 5.1 and
not all my drivers were digitally signed.
Updating my sound card drivers solved it.

Yeah, your motherboard manufacturer's website should have the latest
drivers.
