Unique issue

Before I begin...here is my system:

Mobo: ASRock z68 Fata1ity Professional Gen 3
GPU: SLI GTX 570 EVGA SC Edition
CPU: Intel 2600k
Memory: 16GB Gskill Ripsaw X 1600
PSU: Corsair AX 850
Displays: 2x Acer s231hl

Now this is a bit of a detailed issue that I am having. Iv set up and RMA with EVGA but they dont even know if its going to fix the problem, they are stumped like me. I just assembled this system yesterday for starters and its obviously a dual card and monitor set up. I got everything together, set up my monitors and installed the OS and away I went. Both monitors were working great, updated all my drivers for the mother board and GPUs installed a few games and then it happened. I loaded up bf3 just to check it out with the new cards, exited the game then went on ASRocks website to dload some utilities. Then, both monitors suddenly went black.

As of right now, I can only get one monitor to run on the cards. What happens now is I can plug one DVI connection in and get a screen to come up, but if i plug two DVI connections in, both screens go black. It doesnt matter what DVI port I plug my cable into on the back of the card, this is always the case. Iv reinstalled windows, updated my BIOS, tried using one card at a time and in SLI. Which is another weird thing. The cards will run in SLI but not with 2 monitors! It will not run 2 monitors on one card either.

Iv also tested my motherboard and displays by switching out the 570s with a pair of 260s and both monitors fired up. It has to be something with the cards, but EVGA really doesnt know and they are unsure if the RMA will work. Im getting no error messages, no driver issues, both cards are in the device manager.

Im completly stumped. Any ideas? Id rather not waste time with a RMA if that isnt even certain it will work....

It's obvious that it is the cards if both monitors work with the 260's. Just for the sake of trying since I know you can't SLI a 570 and a 260 if you put in one of each card ( one 570 and one 260) see if both monitors fire up. Then if they do switch out and try the other two.
With the RMA are you returning both cards?
When you went to Asrocks site to download some utilities did the monitors go black just from downloading or did you install the utilities?
Have you tried uninstalling the drivers and reloading them?

No, they are only RMA one. I honestly dont believe this is going to do anything. I just so happen to be on ASrocks website, I havent dloaded anything yet. I have tried uninstalling the drivers and reloaded them. Iv reinstalled windows 7 and get the same results. I will try your suggestion above..

Then it sounds like a motherboard issue since the slot that the second card is in is not fireing up the third monitor. Can you put a card in the bottom slot on the motherboard , I know it's a x4 slot but it is a full length slot and will accept a card, Just to try another slot to see if it will fire that third monitor.
