I bought the following parts:

Intel Core 2 Duo Processor E6300 (will be OCed to about 2.8 - 3GHz)
STT DDR2-800 2GB (2x1GB) CL4
Asus P5B-E
Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro
Western Digital WD1500ADFD
Asus nVidia GeForce 7600GS 256MB

Now I need a case and PSU, but I don't want to spend a lot more than what is needed to support what I have.

I have been looking at the following PSUs:
Thermaltake TR2 470W:
http://www.thermaltake.com/product/Power/TR2power/w008990/w008990.asp

Antec SP-450
http://www.antec.com/us/productDetails.php?ProdID=26450

Which of the two is better, or give other recommendations.

Would I need to spend more than $70 on a PSU?

I have also been looking at the Titan 550 Server case that comes with a 550 TruePower 2.0 550W PSU. Any comments on that? http://www.antec.com/ec/productDetails.php?ProdID=01550

Neither Antec smartpower is a very bad PSU and any thermaltake power supply other than toughpower aren't very good. I would recommend these two for under $70:

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817104954 It has 29A on the combined +12V rail

Or

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817103942 It's only ten dollars out of your budget but it provides more amps on the +12V rail to support more power hungry video cards/more hard disks etc. It's also a very commonly recommended PSU.

Is TOPOWER a good brand? What are good name brands? I know these are (usually) good brands:

FSP group
Seasonic
Thermaltake (toughpower only?)
Silverstone
PC P&C (obviously :) )
Antec (except for Smartpower/Basiq)
Xclio in most cases

are there any others I'm forgetting?

Zippy
Enermax (my favorite)
OCZ
Zalman
Corsair
some Tagans
Coolermasters I-Green line
The highend CoolMax psu's are decent.

mpilchfamily, do you know about the Titan 550 as a case, or you can just confirm that its power supply is good?

I consider that case but being a server case it is a bit too big (deep) for my needs. I don't mind much, but I don't know if it will fit everything ok and if the wires will be long enough for it.

Between the Antec TruePower 2.0 550W and ANTEC NEO HE550 550W which is better?

I also heard somewhere that Antec PSUs have some issues with Asus motherboards, is that true? Right now I have 2 older computers that both have Antec PSU and an Asus motherboard and it doesn't seem to be a problem.

Problem is that were I live the choice is limited and importing from abroad would be expensive because PSUs are quite heavy. :(

I will search around to see if there are any Enermax resellers here. Which is the model I should be looking for? The one suggested above or I could do it with a cheaper model?

I know this is off the topic.

The new picture is that John adams, or any of the US presidents, or a person who invended electricity or something like that? Just curious. :)

Ok, after some research I managed to find some Enermax at good prices (in my country)

They are the ENERMAX Liberty ELT500AWT and ELT400AWT
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817194003
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16817194002

Obviously the ELT500 is more powerful. However as you can see from the specs of my system it should not be very demanding. I am not going to use SLI or any of the big power hungry video cards. At most I might add one more hard drive.

So the question is: would the ELT400 be sufficient, or should I go for the ELT500?
