Hi guys. I need a PSU replacement since my uncle needs a PSU and i wanted to get a stronger unit in. Anyways i gave him the CX500 and i'm planing on buying the Cooler Master GX Lite 700W. http://www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6790
Going with this seems very tempting because it costs 80$ and because it has all sleeved cables and also a single strong 12V rail rated at 55A which is 660W from the 12V. Do you guys have any other suggestions or advice or this PSU is best for my current system and for future upgrading. Current system: MSI 870S C45 FX motherboard,
AMD Athlon II X3 445 CPU 3.1 GHz,
4gb DDR3 Transcend RAM,
AMD Radeon HD 6850 (powercolor),
2 hard drives, 1 has a capacity of 160gb and the other 320gb
Pioneer DVD RW ATA.

I can't believe after all the writing in here about staying away from cooler master PSU's that people are still looking at them.

Stay away from cooler master PSU's. Spend a few dollars more and get a Corsair, Antec, or Seasonic unit.

Corsair PSU's aren't available in my country and neither is antec but seasonic 620W PSU costs 130$. The CX500 was shipped from UK to here by my friend who was on a vacation. I live in serbia the worst country in europe so give me a break lol. And give me a reason why to stay away from CM psu's.

Then which brand should i go for? All brands here are: LC power, cooler master, chieftec and from seasonic only 1 model i've seen so far is a 620W PSU that costs 130$. I mean its a huge difference between 80$ and 130$.

What Chieftec models are available in Serbia?

Is there any online store that you buy from that will give us an idea of what is available?

Yea i can tell you i can't buy from newegg or any of those. What i can do is: I ask my relatives in germany to get a Corsair TX650 from ebay and send it to me. I also found it for the same price as the one from newegg which you guys sent me. Also there are a lot of chieftec PSU's here. From 400W to 1KW. Although i like how the TX650 looks. 1 more question if you know about the TX650. Is it normal sized like the CX500 because i have a mid tower case.

Corsair Builder Series CX500 V2
150mm(W) x 86mm(H) x 140mm(L)

Corsair Enthusiast Series TX650 V2
150mm(W) x 86mm(H) x 160mm(L)

The TX650 extends 20mm further into the case.

Thanks. I was only worried about the width of the PSU.

Does the Corsair TX650 work on 220V? I'm worried because i see no button that lets you set the voltage you're pluging it into.

It uses automatic AC input voltage detection and selection so you don't need to worry about having to set any input voltage switch.

Oh ok. Well i think i can finally stop worrying about upgrading my PSU when i get this. I'm getting this mostly for future upgrading. I already started upgrading, replaced the GF GT 240 with a Radeon HD 6850 last month
