I need to decide whether or not it's worth it to pay $25 more to get a 2GB 6870 under the assumption that it will offer better performance in a 4800x900 Eyefinity setup (3 monitors at 1600x900). I can't find benchmarks anywhere, but in a 2560x1440 it offered no better performance in benchmarks shown by this site comparing the 1GB and 2GB models:

So should I just return the 2GB model and keep my 1GB Sapphire 6870? I think the XFX has a better build quality and warranty.

I will be returning one of the two cards, as the motherboard I have doesn't support Crossfire and I will not be upgrading in the future. So this is for a single card. My goal is to run Eyefinity at medium settings on newer games. What I really need to know is whether or not the 2GB will help me run Eyefinity, or if it's pointless.
