No display from my graphics card ?

Hey guys. My Graphics card has stopped giving display... I broke a solid capacitor a while back I know, stupid ! But it was running fine for about a month... Then just suddenly ingame kicked out and showed these weird white blue green and red lines whenever I tried to start it up again. It's quite an old card so I don't really mind. (An MSI RX3870) But I would like to know how to test what's wrong or if the capacitor was the culprit. (Go easy on me please )

The capacitor has a reason to be there and very likely it is at fault.
