Best build? Will it work Tags: New Build Systems Product Last response: March 21, 2012 5:15 PM in Systems Share MokkaLokka March 21, 2012 3:49:21 PM Hello there, I'm about to buy this 'beast' i7 INTEL 2700K ASUS P8Z68-V GEN3 500GB SATA 6 Gbs, 7200RPM 32GB DDR3 1600MHZ HYPER-X RAM, KINGSTON 800W CORSAIR 80+ SLI HD 7950 Keep in mind that I want to OC' the GFX, and maybe in the future go for a SLI solution. I might also OC the CPU when that time comes. Will this work? I've heard that the more RAM the harder the CPU is to OC? Price: 1000 £ Looking forward to your reply. I'm working as a Motion Graphic Designer therefore I'm working in heavy programs such as Cinema4d (3d), Adobe After Effects, and all Adobe in general. However, I also love gaming - preferable on max settings Related resources New build want to see if this is the best for my money/will it work - Forum Best laptop for secondary gaming machine/CS6 work ? - Forum What gpu would work best on my system? - Forum Clueless? The i7 2700K has hyperthreading which technically gives it 8 cores. Besides After Effects can use multi cores and a really high amount of RAM What about the rest of the spec, is there any bottleneck? azeem40 March 21, 2012 4:37:31 PM Yes, you will not need 32Gb of RAM for your needs for another 10 or so years. Besides that, everything else is great! Jim_L9 March 21, 2012 5:02:36 PM What version of Windows 7? MokkaLokka March 21, 2012 5:04:25 PM Sweet! I'll go with Windows Ultimate. Is my PSU good enough for OC and yet another 7950 + what about heat? Jim_L9 March 21, 2012 5:10:31 PM That machine should work quite well for your intended uses. I wanted to make sure you weren't getting Windows 7 Home Premium which won't support that much RAM. MokkaLokka March 21, 2012 5:15:06 PM That's reassuring. What about the price. 1000 £ is what I'm throwing at it. Can't find your answer ? Ask ! Publish Related resources What's the best video card that will work with this computer?
