Do i need a higher psu?

Okay i have an amd triple core processer 8400
Amd radeon HD 6670 1GB DDR3
DDR2 Ram 4GB (2x2)
Only an 80gb hard drive at the moment

Also i keep getting these random moments where my pc will freeze and the screen will go black and recover and another thing is i can only play certain games otherwise they keep freezing in game or at the start menu, like i love playing pes 2012 but i can't play need for speed most wanted because it will just keep freezing, i currently have a 500w stock power supply that came with the case and the case i bought was cheap as hell! I Might upgrade to a 600w or a 700w psu, suggestions?

500W is more than enough power but if it is a cheap PSU it may just be unreliable. A good quality 350W+ PSU would be fine. The Antec Earthwatts EA-380D is a good one.
