My first gaming build $800 budget

Ok so I've decided to build my own desktop I've looked around at parts and have selected a few but I have no idea if there compatible or quality parts.
It would be awesome if someone who knew what they were doing could guide me into choosing the right parts.

I have an $800 budget I don't need a monitor keyboard or mouse just parts and an os.

I might plan on overclocking later on but not right now so no aftermarket fans will be needed. I also might want to add a second gpu later on.

Ill mostly be using this for diablo 3 and some web crossing etc but will probably end up playing some high end games.

I was planning on using an i5 2500k and maybe a 6850 or 6870(I think those are the right names)

So any help would be awesome!

  2. +1 ^sosofm's build.

my only suggestion would be to sub a Crucial M4 64GB SSD for the HDD at about the same price point if the OP has an old SATA HDD from another system to use a secondary storage device. Also agree on the HD 6870 as a good upgrade.
  3. Thanks, I've decided to go a little over my budget and go with this MOBO: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813128502 and the 6870
