The hard drive on my thinkpad 380D crashed. I was wondering if there would be some way to connect it with a laptop running xp with a parallel cable to slightly improve the one running xp.
Laplink made a special Parallel Port cable to connect two PC's to transfer files or remote control PC
(alternative Serial Port cable was also available)
BUT it wont help your problem
Not Clear what your problem is. More Info required
By Hard drive crashed do you mean Windows will not get all the way to the desktop.
or
the Hard disk is dead or dying or not seen by BIOS (completely dead or disconnected)
The readers came off of the discs. The hard drive will not start. Also when the computer is plugged into power, the charging light does not light up. And yes, they both have 25 pin parallel ports.
