After setting up the new parts and turning the computer on, I received no video and a red blinking light. My setup is as follows:

ASUS M4A88T-M AM3 AMD 880G HDMI Micro ATX AMD Motherboard

AMD Phenom II X4 965 Black Edition Deneb 3.4GHz Socket AM3 125W Quad-Core Processor HDZ965FBGMBOX

APEVIA ATX-CW500WP4 500W ATX Power Supply

G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Desktop Memory Model F3-12800CL9D-8GBRL

I have a video card as well, however, I have removed it to see if anything would happen, but unfortunately, it does not do anything.

I have switched the Memory to PNY - Optima 4GB PC3-10666 DDR3 DIMM Desktop Memory, but this came up with the same results.

Is the Mobo bad? The Processor? The Memory?

I am completely new at this and thought all these components would work together, but I can't seem to figure out what is going on.

Keyboard does not register, USB drives do not work, however, the mobo's ethernet port has a blinking green light. All fans are running as well.

Going to return memory tomorrow and get a Kingston that is on the QVL for the mobo, hopefully that will work.

Could 500w not be enough power?

The Kingston Ram did not do anything different, same blinking red light. Going to RMA the motherboard for a replacement. Hopefully that is the problem.

I've got the exact same problem. Did your new motherboard solve the problem?

After exchanging each item, it ended up being the CPU. The one I received after the exchange had a completely different fan, which made it much easier to clamp onto the motherboard, but the new CPU booted up everything just fine!
