I know this question has been asked before on Tom's Hardware, but I couldn't find a thread comparing the HX750 to the newer TX750 Version 2. Is the hx750 worth the extra 30-40$?( 125$ with rebate) Besides it being modular, does it also have higher quality parts, less heat under loads, or more durable in general? The TX750 is much cheaper on newegg for 99$ with the Rebate, and is 2 or so years newer than the HX750.

What do you guys think?

The brand has nothing to do with Corsair makes neither PSU in fact the company doesn't make PSU period. I believe the TX-750 v2 – Seasonic made =Excellent cons is non modular which is a deal breaker for some the HX-750 – Channel Well (CWT) (DSG platform) =Fair and decent yet it's silver plus rated and fully-modular Corsair HX750W Power Supply Review

These HX models are manufactured by CWT, while other models from HX series are manufactured by Seasonic. Why Corsair kept the same name is a mystery. In our opinion they should have used a different name so consumers would know they are facing a different product class, targeted to users looking a power supply with high-end parts and very high efficiency. @ Hardware Secrets http://www.hardwaresecrets.com/article/775

So according to JonnyGuru, the HX750 would be a better choice since it uses a superior design?
