No only a GTX 560 ti and be SLI'd with a GTX 560 ti. GTX 560 with GTX 560. Can't mix match. Also brand wise doesn't matter. as long as the cards have the same amount of ram and is recommended to have the same clock speeds as well

what would happen if I use the same brand and same card but with different clock speeds ?

You'll then need to adjust the speeds to be the same.

Well generally most of the time the faster card would down clock to match the slower card. However I have it on very good authority that this is not always the case.
