I recently bought a new gaming rig with a GTX 590, but I keep getting low fps on games. I first thought my motherboard (ASrock m3n78d) was the problem because it doesn't support SLI, but on the NVIDIA site they say that a GTX 590 doesn't require a motherboard that supports SLI. I really want to play games without lag so please help!!!.

Processor: AMD Phenom II X6 1090t
Graphics card: ASUS GTX 590 3GB
Motheboard: ASrock m3n78d
RAM: Kingston 8GB (2x4GB) PC3-10666 1333Mhz
HDD: Seagate 1TB SATA3 ST31000524AS 7200 32mb
Case: Recom Powerstation Evo
CPU Cooler: Antec Kühler h2o 620
PSU: OCZ ZX SERIES 1250W POWER SUPPLY
OS: Windows 7 home premium 64 bit

P.S. sorry for bad english

Drivers, drivers, drivers... Hit ASRock's web site first for all MB, then move on to the ASUS for the GPU.

One thing that stands out is the X6 paired with the GTX 590. Overclocking the X6 will do wonders for it to try to keep up with the "big" GPU. That is a bit unbalanced and the AMD CPU will never keep up in high demand situations. Ideally the GTX 590 should be in a highly clocked Intel build to get its most potential. With that said, you should still be able to play just fine. What do you consider low FPS, what FSP are you expecting, and what games are you playing?

Solved. I installed the nvidia driver 285.62 and I don't have low FPS anymore. Don't know why the newest drivers caused low fps, but I'm glad I don't have lag anymore.
