TV Tuner to move Hi8 Tapes to Digital

I have pulled a Hauppauge WinTV HVR 1800 out of an old HP Desktop.

I have everything but the installation disk, but I was able to get the drivers online.

They want me to pay 10$ for the missing disk, that is suppose to have the WinTV application.

I was wondering if I will be able to use this card without the disk.

All I want to do is, plug in a Hi8 camera through the RCA, and record the footage on my computer.

I just can't find any info on it anywhere. I am going to look for the disc tomorrow, hopefully it will be what I need.

If anyone has done this before let me know what I need to do.

Media center, included with all versions of win7 will handle the card without the rest of hauppauge's software or the need to spend $10

Well I got drivers to auto install when I turned on the computer.

What kind of software will I need to record the video onto my computer?

I thought Camtasia might work, but I would need something to play the videos.
