.jpeg files become invalid in windows 7

After a hard drive crash and rebuild, I restored my picture files from a backup image (WIN 7 backup/restore). But now the system saying that the .jpg files are invalid, no matter what program I have them open with.

After a hard drive crash and rebuild, I restored my picture files from a backup image (WIN 7 backup/restore). But now the system saying that the .jpg files are invalid, no matter what program I have them open with.

Out of curiosity have you tried Adobe Photoshop or similar program? You might also want to try your work pc, other pc in home or friends see if opens on theirs. Chances are if it doesn't display properly its corrupted and there isnt much that I know you can do. Happened to me before.
