Hey guys i currently have Core 2 Duo E4500 and i want to upgrade it to Core 2 Duo E7600..
My motherboard Specs:
http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01386897&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en
But i'm worried about the Lithography as my Current processor has 65nm and the Core 2 Duo E7600 has 45nm...is that something i should be worried about??
also do i need to update the Bios if i want to upgrade my CPU??...also my mobo specs says core 2 duo E7XXX(Wolfdale-M) are supported....what about the e8XXX series will it work??..socket is same as 775 and my mobo also has Intel G31 Express....heard somewhere that people got it to work :D..

As per the motherboard specs, it should support the E7600, but the E8xxx is not on the list. That doesn't mean that it won't work, but you better find out how people got it to work if you can't return it. Did they install a modded BIOS?

You need to update the BIOS only if a newer version is required to support the E7600 CPU.
