Vsync problem

Hello guys

Just a quick one I've recently got myself a sli set up using 2 x 550ti's and I'm having some issues with vsync when I turn it on my fps lock to 60 which I'm told is because my refresh rate is 60hz however when it's off I get 100fps playing rage but the game seems very laggy and looks like I'm playing at about 20fps

Anyone know why this is?
