Our company started carrying the Blackberry 7100G. The only handsfree option
here is bluetooth. This is being pushed by our business sales reps who live
off their Blackberries.
I installed a Motorola Bluetooth HFK in the car of one rep, and the
Blackberry would always connect but the audio won't always go through the
hfk. It would work like a regular handset, but if you go to check the
connection, then the handset is connected to the kit through bluetooth.
Usually re-establishing the connection cleared that up (until the next
time).
I swapped the Motorola kit with a Nokia bluetooth kit and that seemed to
solve the problems.
Now another rep has the Nokia kit with a 7100G and occasionally gets the
same problem.
I put the "problem" Motorola kit in my car for use with my Nokia 6230, and
haven't had any trouble.
So, I've pretty much eliminated the kits as the cause. The only common
denominator is the 7100G.
We've changed every bluetooth setting in the Blackberry without success.
Has anyone heard of this sort of thing happening, and might you point me in
the direction of some kind of solution?
Thank you.
