High Pitched Noise near the CPU or from the CPU itself

I just built this rig 3 weeks ago and I decided to update my BIOS because it's not compatible with Spec Ops: The Line, the game worked but the mobo/cpu started making these high pitched noise. I'm pretty sure it's not coming from the PSU because its at the bottom. The sound is not consistent
but it's really annoying when I hear it, do I need replace it or is there a way to get rid of it?

More about high pitched noise itself
  1. Have you tested the CPU to see if it's overheating?
  2. Older Spinpoints have had this issue. check for a firmware patch that reduces it.
  3. Tested it and the temperature is the normal, the same as before the noise started

I updated my firmwire and its still there, it's definitely not coming from the HDD

    Should I downgrade my BIOS?
  4. I have the same issue with i7 2600k BUT the sound its there ONLY when i run some benchmarks (@ some point i can hear it when i run WEI)
  5. Nevermind, the noise is gone.

crisan_tiberiu, check this thread, it might help you because it worked for me http://www.tomshardware.co.uk/forum/page-292915_12_50.html
