HD 4000 gfx is not somthing that is built to max, and it's only really good at low resolutions, if you can afford the GTX 670 that is an amazing graphics card right now

power edge... dell psu?

and what do you use to record? somthing like FRAPS or Msi Afterburner will use up tons of space, and will cause alot of lag... so your better off with an SSD for recording

The HD 4000 is pretty decent to play games at 1366x768 resolution.

It is basically equal to a desktop Radeon HD 5550 graphic card.

you don't need a lot of processing power to play minecraft. a 670 would be an overkill unless you want to play better graphic games.

He also says that he will be recording Minecraft, probably through a Fraps-esque program. The graphics card can only help. OP, if *all* you're doing is recording Minecraft I recommend a lower end GPU to cut some cost.

depending on what he wants to do, there is a few shaders mods that will beat the heck out of my 6870
