Ati 5450 no hdmi sound/audio

I have no sound/audio on my TV when I hookup my saffire hd 5450 card through hdmi.

There is no option under Sounds and Audio devices > Audio > sound playback for HDMI

Also, in my device manager, there seems to be a problem with 'Microsoft UAA Bus Driver for High definition audio' , shown here:

I have updated CCC several times. Nothing has changed.

There seem to be quite a few people with this problem. I've searched google quite a bit and nothing seems to fix the problem.

Note: The HDMI cable is brand new and works fine.

This is a tough one. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Also, I am searching for an exact answer but please feel free to give any opinions or advice.

no i did not. nobody has really been helpful, anywhere.

i posted another meessage on the microsft website. they basically said, before we're able to determine its a hardware problem, we need to check if its a software problem. they asked my to update my bios. i have absoloutely no idea how to do that and i was told to go find someone who does. well i cant afford to have someone fix this issue for me. especially considering i have already found a manual work around. I have an external audio driver that alows me to run analouge cables through the output , which i conected to one of those headphone jack outputs (the smaller ones) which i then plugged into my tv

I dont know if there will ever be a soloution to this.

Updating your bios is very simple. You just need to download and install. What is your computer manufacturer and model?
