2 computers 1 cable modem can i use both on same modem?

I have 2 desktop computers and only 1 cable modem. How do I run both on the one modem? thankyou Max A Deters

Yes, get something like a linksys router. Connect the cable from the wall to the router, then run Cat 5 cables from the ports on the router to each of your computers. You can go wireless as well. You should go into the configuration of your router and secure it as well if you are using wireless. The IP address is typically 192.168.1.1 , or 192.168.100.1 . You connect to that by opening up IE or Firefox and typing that in the address bar
